Transmit is a MacOS application that lets users upload, download, and manage files on disparate servers. Using the FTP (file transfer protocol), users are able to manage and transfer all of their files, regardless of file format, at any time.

In fact, users are even able to customize view options, monitor transfers en route, and edit file permissions for enhanced file security. All files can be connected with over ten types of servers, such as S3, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft suite, and WebDAV HTTPS.

Additionally, Transfer can even perform full file sync, which allows the user to mirror two files with a single click. More experienced users will benefit from the ability to delete orphaned destinations, follow symbolic links, and even use regular expressions to track down specific file sets.

If you have a technical background, Transfer provides all the tools you need to interact with your file system through a graphical interface. Even those without technical experience appreciate the sleek, intuitive user interface that allows them to customize their file system at will.

Unfortunately, Transmit is a paid software; however, users can easily sign up for a free seven day trial. Transmit is backed by a dedicated team of developers that are constantly updating the software with enhanced capabilities.

For instance, the newest iteration of Transmit nows includes Panic Sync, which allows users to immediately force file syncs to disk and to other servers without having to "wait" for the operating system to catch up. This option provides users more fine grained control of their local-to-local or remote-to-remote sync.

Now, Transmit is built with a multithreaded core that can process multiple files in parallel. This allows for more expedient file management and transfer than ever before.

All in all, it's hard to get more specific and extensible in utility than the Transfer application. Users have a much greater ability to get file info, batch rename properties, generate tags, and manage secure keys for enhanced security file transfers.
